Get More With Lemon Law Lawyers

By Carl Davis

Traveling around Los Angeles, CA can be fun when a person has a nice set of wheels. There are many tourist attractions and the weather is always nice but when a car breaks down, the party ends. While this should not happen with newer cars, lemon law lawyers can determine whether the manufacturer or dealer is to blame for ongoing problems.

Often car dealerships will sell to anyone but the car may not be worth the price tag. This is fairly common but when the car is new, it should not need a lot of repairs when it has only a few miles on it. Sometimes the customer may get a runaround the salesperson or manufacturer but there is always to road to justice and fair compensation.

When cars act up, it can become expensive. Though it is easy to buy an old car, problems are to be expected, especially when it has a great engine mileage. Yet, to make payments and frequent car repairs can burn a hole in a wallet. There are towing or road assistance charges, time away from work and then the mechanic. Not to mention the quality of life being compromised. Unless a person has enough money to rent a car, they may have to miss out on important events.

For some, the process of seeking outside help may seem tiresome but often it is necessary. Especially in an age where vehicles are often being called back by the manufacturer and repairs can be made at no cost. Sometimes, the damage can be so severe that an auto replacement may be necessary.

State arbitration is available to any California resident at no cost but there are two things to take into consideration. This can be a long process and often the driver is only awarded the value of car, minus a few deductions. In many cases, the driver is entitled to reimbursement of expenses.

This may be the route a dealer would take with an unsatisfied customer and while there may be good intentions on their end, not so much for the customer. While waiting for the paperwork to be processed, car payments will still be due. If the customer we to default on financing, then that would work to their disadvantage even if they were able to get a replacement vehicle.

This is why having a legal team that can expedite the process is best. Dealing directly with a government agency can be a slow process and then there are many necessary questions to be addressed along the way. An attorney may be able to recoup losses such as lost time from work, towing and mechanic fees.

This state law only applies to vehicles with few miles and is covered under a warranty for a new car. Cosmetic damages or anything, like a radio, that does not prevent the car from being operational do not apply. The vehicle must have more than a couple of visits within a short period of purchase. There is no compensation for damages incurred due to neglect or abuse by the driver.
